Reno, Nevada - March 13, 2002 - LOCAL TALENT TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT IN “SHADOWLANDS”. Gamma Films announced that the majority of The Shadowlands’ talent cast in their current production are northern Nevada locals. Working with the top regional casting agency, Integrity Casting, project producers opened the casting to northern Nevada and beyond.

“We were contacted by talent from all over the country,” said Producer/Director Matthew Kilburn. “We had a large number from California, and as far away as Texas attend the auditions.”

After sifting through hundreds of auditioners, callbacks were made to bring the top contenders in for the final selection process. At the conclusion, 7 of the top 12 roles were filled by students of Model Talent Universe, a Reno-based commercial acting and modeling training facility.

“On my last project, ‘The Harvesters’ (1999), we had to bring in the majority of our talent from the Bay Area; so we were very excited to be able to offer the roles to so many locals,” said Kilburn. “With affiliates like Integrity Casting and Model Talent Universe, we now have a real shot at continuing to provide more and more opportunities to northern Nevadans.”
