Reno, Nevada – Nov. 1, 2001 (revised) – Gamma Films announces "The Shadowlands", a feature-length television series pilot. Principle Photography will begin in early 2002, and is under consideration by a leading broadcast network and other sources of distribution and exhibition.

This project represents a landmark in entertainment development in northern Nevada, as this is the first primetime television drama developed and produced locally. The series’ Executive Producer, Matthew Kilburn, is also the President of Gamma Films, and Producer of the award-winning feature film “The Harvesters”, completed in 1999. Mr. Kilburn confirmed that the Company will continue development on its other feature movie projects as well.

“The Shadowlands”, as with past and future Gamma projects, will provide positive economic impact to the region as it continues to look for and utilize local, cast, crew, warehouse (soundstage) faclities, and support services. “It was difficult,” Kilburn said, “when producing ‘The Harvesters’ were forced to bring in a lot of talent and crew from California. Today, however, we are finding that there is much greater local availability of professional Talent, primarily as a result of the superb training efforts of Reno-based Model Talent Universe.” All Casting services will be provided by IntegrityCasting.com.

The series will be shot in 24P/HD (utilized by Lucasfilms on next year’s Star Wars prequel) and will simulcast in Standard and High Definition.
