Reno, Nevada - Nov. 2, 1999 - Renowood.org and Gamma Films announce a cooperative production agreement to produce “Snow Storm”, a feature motion picture.

Snow Storm is based on a novel by local media personality, Mike Alger, the KTVN Ch-2 meteorologist. Gamma Films obtained the rights from Alger to his premier literary work in mid-October for an undisclosed amount. Alger will serve as an Associate Producer and creative consultant on the film.

This action-thriller will feature top Hollywood talent and a well-known action feature film Director. This tremendous ensemble coupled with regional talent, crew and support services guarantees northern Nevada’s first box office blockbuster!

Snow Storm will serve a two-fold purpose: a) Renowood.org will be a major interest holder in the production and the revenues from the films’ exploitation will serve to fund the organization in its film community development efforts. b) launch the Renowood Film Academy. The “Snow Storm” production will serve as “on-the-job” training for Academy students.

“Medical students serve in residency, plumbers learn through apprenticeship, filmmakers need first-hand access to a working film production to really learn their craft.” - MLK
